  • On the whole, the hotel is good in Xinzhuang area, and the price is OK. It's not high-end. It's quite practical to check in. Friends and customers can still arrange to check in.Executive Queen Room

Travelogue

  • Minhang stayed on a business trip for 3 days, integrating efficiency and peace of mind into the itinerary

This time, when I came to Minhang, Shanghai to coordinate with the industrial park project, my colleagues chose a popular new hotel in the Xinzhuang business district. I specifically booked Jinyan Hotel Shanghaibecause it was close to the industrial park for convenience. After staying for three days, I realized that this old business building was the most accurate place to meet the needs of business travelers.
Take Line 5 directly from Hongqiao Station to Chunshen Road Station, walk 300 meters from Exit 5 to the hotel entrance, and don't have to take a detour with a 20 inch boarding box. You don't even have to walk a few steps on the stairs throughout the journey. The check-in process was faster than expected. The front desk helped me prepare my room card in advance, and within two minutes of checking the information, they casually explained the commuting routes to several industrial parks the next day, as well as tips to avoid congestion during the morning rush hour. They even reminded me of the location of the hotel's free business center and the printing and binding service hours, saving me from having to check the navigation one by one.
The layout of the room completely hits all the pain points of business trips: a 1.2-meter-wide solid wood office desk is left by the window, and the network cable interface and multi specification sockets are all within reach, without having to squat on the ground and flip over the socket board to find the charging port. The chair is an ergonomic office chair, and even after two nights of revising the project plan until early morning, my waist was not as sore as usual. The 1.8-meter big bed is moderately soft and hard, and after running to three venues during the day, I was exhausted and lay down for less than ten minutes before dispersing most of it. The design of the independent dressing room is too thoughtful. Formal clothes will not wrinkle and pile up at the end of the bed when hung in, and there are dedicated storage layers for file bags and laptops. Even when the luggage is unfolded, it does not block the aisle at all.
The most convenient part is the accompanying catering and conference services. The breakfast starts at seven o'clock. With the freshly cooked Congee, freshly fried eggs, and hot freshly ground coffee, you can have a solid breakfast in ten minutes without wasting time picking and picking in the buffet. We had to hold a small meeting midway and booked a small conference room in the hotel. The projection, sound system, and whiteboard were all in a pre adjusted state, so there was no need to go there half a day in advance to arrange them. The time saved was just enough to double check the details of the plan with the partner. The hotel restaurant can also provide customized business meals. When you are in a hurry, you can call in advance and get the packaged hot meals downstairs, without having to search for takeout on the streets under the big sun of Shanghai.
Of course, as an old business hotel that has been open for many years, it does not have flashy intelligent robots. Some of the facilities in the corridors have traces of time, and the elevator has to wait for an extra half minute during rush hour. But these small inconveniences cannot offset its reality: free super large parking lots, customers who come to inspect by themselves do not have to find expensive parking spaces in the surrounding area; The 24-hour front desk is always ready to handle unexpected needs. I rushed downstairs to buy water after finishing the plan at 1am, and the staff even handed me a bottle of hot mineral water with a smile.
When I checked out, the front desk took the initiative to call me a bus to the high-speed railway station, so I didn't have to stand on the roadside during peak hours waiting to pick up my order. Sitting in the car and looking back, the sign of Jinyan Hotel Shanghai is quietly shining under the streetlights. I used to think that staying in a newer hotel for business trips was better, but this time I understand that being able to make every essential requirement a solid old hotel is the most reliable support when rushing through a schedule.Show more

  • Moving into the old Shanghai Tower by Chunshen Road, I found a peaceful place on the edge of the bustling city

I didn't choose the noisy chain hotels in the Xinzhuang commercial district when I came to Minhang, Shanghai to discuss the project. Instead, I casually booked the Jinyan Hotel Shanghai on Chunshen Road. I originally only thought it was close to the subway, but after living there for three days, I realized that this old building with a 90s style hides a rare slow paced and relaxed feeling in Shanghai.
After leaving Exit 5 of Chunshen Road Subway Station, walking 320 meters, you can see the sign of Jinyan Building, without even taking a few extra steps for navigation. The attitude of the front desk when checking in was gentle and friendly. Knowing that I was going to a meeting in Xinzhuang Industrial Zone the next day, they specifically reminded me of the subway schedule during the morning rush hour and even gave me a guide card to nearby convenience stores, saying that if I wanted to buy late night snacks, I didn't have to take a long detour. The moment I pushed open the door, I immediately felt the reality of the old hotel: the room area was larger than that of other chain hotels in the same price range, the independent dressing room was hidden behind the door, the luggage was spread out without blocking the aisle, and the furniture had a warm feeling worn by time, without the cold plastic smell of the new hotel.
What surprised me the most was the quietness here. I closed the window at night, and I could hardly hear the sound of traffic outside. I rushed to the plan for two consecutive days until late at night, and after lying down for less than ten minutes, I could fall into a deep sleep without the trouble of being woken up by late night traffic in hotels in the city. The next day, I got up early to have a buffet breakfast. The price of 30 yuan per person was more than expected. The hot Congee, steamed steamed buns, and clear mouthed dishes, even the local Wonton in Shanghai were cooked delicious. I didn't have to make a living to eat cold bread, but my morning appearance was relaxed.
After checking, I found out that this building opened in 1999 and can be considered as an old business hotel in Minhang. The facilities do have a bit of a vintage feel, without fancy smart robots. You have to go downstairs to pick up a package by yourself. The main power switch is hidden behind the pillow at the bedside. On my first day in the room, I searched for it for a long time and almost forgot to turn off the main power. My phone couldn't charge. But these small inconveniences cannot cover up its thoughtfulness: the parking lot is open for free, and friends who come by car do not have to find expensive parking spaces in the surrounding area; The basic items such as luggage storage and wake-up service were done steadily and thoroughly. Even the front desk helped me process the meeting materials that I needed to print at the last minute without charging any extra money.
When I have free time, I take a walk along the surrounding area and can walk for more than ten minutes to reach the Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre. The evening breeze carries the smoke and fire from nearby residential areas, which is much more comfortable than crowded on Nanjing Road. The hotel's grand banquet hall and over a dozen conference rooms are kept clean and tidy. When I passed by, I saw many companies holding their annual meetings here. The supporting professional audio and projection equipment can fully meet the needs of various meetings.
Before leaving, I dragged my suitcase towards the subway station. Looking back at the building of Jinyan Building, I suddenly felt that it was like a microcosm of the Minhang area: without the fancy marketing of internet famous hotels, but relying on solid maintenance and proper service, it left a stable place for every passing guest to stay. Next time I come to Minhang, I will definitely choose Jinyan Hotel Shanghai - compared to the hustle and bustle of the bustling city, this down-to-earth tranquility is the most rare thing in business trips.Show more
